Designed by Chicago architectural firm, Myefski Architects, ChIAC features magnificent views and utilizes natural light to tastefully highlight the features of the iconic Aon Center. The Aon Center holds a defining presence in the skyline of Chicago, a city known for innovative architecture. ChIAC looks out over parks and gardens, the azure horizon where Lake Michigan meets the sky and the expanding city and landmarks. Stunning views in any season provide a sense of being aloft in the sky.

Turnkey Offerings

Delivering a Tailored Hearing Experience

CHIAC's hearing center and support offerings fulfill the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators' Centenary Principles for a functional facility outfitted with everything needed to support an international arbitration hearing. Secure and private hearing rooms, breakout rooms, arbitrator rooms and interpreter booths are built to satisfy the need for confidentiality in arbitral hearings, along with excellent acoustics. Transcription and translation services, and document management systems are handled by FTI Consulting's world-class trial and arbitration support teams, located on-site at ChIAC.

Hearing Rooms

Three generous hearing rooms equipped with secure and modern technology to support hearings of up to 38 in-person participants, and virtually connected to remote participants anywhere in the world.

Breakout Rooms

Spacious and secure breakout rooms for parties to retreat to during breaks from the hearing, with key-code lock access and sound-proofed walls to ensure privacy.

Tribunal and Neutrals Rooms

Tranquil and comfortable space for arbitrators and mediators to confer, work and rest in a private designated space without fear of running into parties.

Executive and Satellite Offices

Quiet and well-appointed offices for CHIAC staff and institutional MOU partners in an accessible and central location within the hearing center to accommodate collaboration with visitors and partners.

Interpreter Booths

Designated booths for simultaneous interpreters, with close-circuit audio connections attached to each hearing room to accommodate hearings with multi-lingual participants.

Lounges and Auxiliary Spaces

Kitchen, lounge, private phone booths, mother's room and reception are all designed to support the needs of visitors managing the various demands of the day and stages of life.
