Membership Overview
In addition to an elevated arbitration hearing experience, ChIAC serves as a virtual and physical venue for members to deepen their knowledge of international arbitration and global dispute resolution with educational programming and networking events. Membership perks include frequent continuing legal education events, as well as access to members-only portal with a library of arbitration-related materials and additional benefits and invitations to ChIAC member networking events
Become a ChIAC Member
Networking Events
ChIAC members are invited to quarterly members-only networking events and roundtable discussions on current topics. Additional networking events for corporate and law firm members provide opportunities to meet new arbitration practitioners.
Legal Education
ChIAC offers an array of educational programming with CLE credits. Members are provided with the opportunity to earn CLE credits as instructors through invitation to participate in ChIAC’s thought leadership.
Members-Only Portal
ChIAC maintains a members-only portal with written and recorded materials from past programs and seminars, as well as exclusive ChIAC discounts provided by partnering vendors.
Speaking Opportunities
ChIAC members are provided opportunities to promote their expertise through speaking engagements and prioritized opportunity to speak at seminars and events organized and co-sponsored by ChIAC.
Members-Only Discounts
ChIAC members receive reciprocal benefits from ChIAC’s MOU partners as well as reduced cancellation fees. Corporate members also receive discounts on ChIAC facility bookings.
Eligibility to Serve on Board
ChIAC members will have the opportunity to serve on the ChIAC Board of Directors, a direct role in steering the mission and strategy of ChIAC.
General Membership Benefits
• Access to Members-Only Portal with resources library of written and recorded materials on past educational programs on arbitration-related topics. • Reciprocal benefits provided by MOU Partners. List of active benefits available upon request from ChIAC, or kept in the member portal. • Use of ChIAC “corporate” rates for hotels and vendors. • Invitation to quarterly networking events with Corporate Members, Law Firm Members, Individual and Neutral Members, including roundtable discussions on current topics of mutual interest. • Membership terms are on a calendar year basis, prorated quarterly if joining mid-year.
Corporate Membership
Available to corporate law departments. Benefits extended to all members of the company’s law department, including access to the membership portal and discounts for hearing rooms, programs and networking events. Cost: $5,000 In addition to General Membership Benefits: • Eligibility of one designated in-house counsel to sit on the Corporate Advisory Board. • Discounts on facility bookings (20%) and reductions on cancellation fees (10%) • Opportunities to present on educational programs on topics relevant to companies engaged in international business. • Identified as Law Firm Member on the ChIAC website in ChIAC printed promotional materials that list members. • Quarterly networking events exclusive to Corporate Members.
Law Firm Membership
Available to law firms. Benefits extended to all attorneys and paralegals at the law firm, including access to the member portal and discounts for hearing rooms and programs and invitations to networking events. Cost: $3,000 per year. In addition to General Membership Benefits: • Up to 3 law firm member profiles featured on ChIAC website, including bio and contact information. • Eligibility of one designated attorney to serve on ChIAC Board of Directors. • Opportunity to feature a partner and recent arbitration activity and partner in ChIAC’s newsletter at least once a year. • Identified as Law Firm Member on the ChIAC website in ChIAC printed promotional materials that list members. • Quarterly networking events exclusive to Law Firm Members.
Individual Membership
Available to individual attorneys, counsel, experts or arbitration practitioners. Cost: $350 per year. In addition to General Membership Benefits: • Profile featured on ChIAC website, including bio and contact information. • Eligibility to serve on ChIAC Board of Directors. • For an additional fee, use of the Center as a virtual address. Young Practitioner Members
Available to young attorneys with up to five years of practice and under 35 yrs of age. Cost: $200 per year. In addition to General Membership Benefits: • Profile featured on ChIAC website, including bio and contact information. • Invitation to Young Practitioners events co-sponsored with MOU Partners
ADR Neutrals Membership
Available to arbitrators and mediators. Cost: $350 per year. In addition to General Membership Benefits: • Profile featured on ChIAC website, including bio and contact information. • Eligibility to serve on ChIAC Board of Directors. • For an additional fee, use of the Center as a virtual address.
